Solaura isn't like your traditional music festival with long lines, crowded food, pushy festival-goers, or bands that just perform, stay in VIP sections and leave.

It's a relaxed gathering built by and for its attendees - a 4-day intermingling of musicians, experience creators, electronic producers, live music fans, cooks, burners, and more.

We prioritize intimate performances, spontaneously gifted experiences, free food where you'd least expect it, and most importantly a warm and open culture.

Solaura is located next to a private reservoir 3 hours north of San Francisco, in a beautiful valley surrounded by redwood forests. We'll message festival ticket holders with the exact location the week before the festival!

Solaura 2023 will be held from Oct 6th to Oct 9th. The festival will open for campers Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM, and attendees should plan to leave by 2:00 PM on Monday.

To source the best talent when they're available to play, we sign and publish our artists gradually from May - September. Similarly, our immersive experiences and food pop-ups are continually updated from our launch all the way to the week before Solaura.

At Solaura, our focus isn't on bringing the biggest names, but rather curating the best undiscovered, talented, off-the-beaten-path live bands in California.

As a result, most of our attendees may only know a couple of the headliners heading in - but to a tee, they give us amazing reviews on our bands year after year! There's something for every single genre of music lover at Solaura (except psytrance - we can't help you there).

Yes! We never want financial concerns to be a blocker when attending Solaura!

The weather at our property in October is on average, pretty fantastic: a warm 70 - 80 degrees during the day and 50s at night with little to no rain.

But - it can get quite cold at night! We'd recommend bringing layers for nighttime and checking the forecast.

• Camping gear (tent, tarp, sleeping bags, etc.)
• Layers for when it gets chilly at night!
• Rain gear (failure to bring it increases the chance of rain)
• Water jugs to carry potable water to your camp (spigots are a 5 min walk from camping)
• Food and snacks for you and your buds all weekend
• Sunscreen
• Lantern / flashlight / headlamp (and extra batteries!)
• Decorations for your campsite and a fun experience for other attendees!

Though we provide free food pop-ups throughout the entire weekend, we won't be making official meals at set times for all Solaura attendees! You should still bring your own main meals to eat, and treat every food pop-up as a bonus gift from other attendees.

All camping will be car camping at this new property (unless we specify otherwise!) Vans, RVs, or other vehicles over the length of 16 feet will have a small additional fee to attend.

We'll be complying with all COVID restrictions from the State of California and our hosts out of respect for the property and to do whatever we can to avoid COVID transmission during Solaura. We'll e-mail attendees with a full list of COVID-related policies closer to the date of the event.

Solaura is 21+ only right now! We'll be checking IDs at the door.
